It's a long way...
Everything has never turned out to be as planned! I wanted to study medicine and I ended up graduating as Graphic and Communication Designer, I was dreaming about living in London and I found myself none other than in China, just to understand that I couldn't have taken better path than the one destiny drew for me.
My hometown is a very little tiny dot on the Italian map, not too far from Turin, lost in the middle of cornfields and cows with the Alps on the horizon...not a bad place to grow up! I moved to SH over one year ago for a double degree program between the Politecnico of Milan and Tongji University of Shanghai and I'm now looking forward to graduate from my Master in Product Service Design. |
The decision to come to China was quite unconscious, but nevertheless important. I came upon something I had never experienced before and I learned to understand and appreciate it. Now that the love story with this city, this country and the people living in it, is about to end I decided to develop my final thesis over a topic I consider fascinating and of great value: the cultural heritage of craftsmanship inside an ever-changing reality like the one of China.
Hope I will do good! If you want to know some more, my portfolio is available on http://issuu.com/jujifizi/docs/portfolio_giulia_barra |
